ROOT SPORTS continues their 2015 schedule of High School Football Games of the Week presented by Memorial Hermann IRONMAN Sports Medicine Institute Live tomorrow from Mercer Stadium as the Hightower Hurricanes host the Travis Tigers.
With only seven starters returning from last season, the Travis Tigers are a young team led my first-year Head Coach Trey Sissom. Going into week five, they sit at 2-2 on the season, earning wins with the offensive assistance of tackle and 23-6A Newcomer of the Year Will Farrar, who has offers from almost every Big 12 and SEC school, and defensive strength backed by lineman Jaylon Hodge, named 2014 First-Team All-District.
The Hightower Hurricanes enter Thursday’s game looking to protect their undefeated season as they go for their fourth district championship in five years. They are ranked #10 in Houston 6A and are led offensively by linebacker and TCU-commit Clifton Lewis and defensively by 2014 District Defensive Player of the Year defensive end Michael Johnson.
The action kicks-off live and in High-Definition tomorrow at 7:00PM on ROOT SPORTS. ROOT SPORTS is available on AT&T U-verse, DIRECTV, Comcast Xfinity, Coastal Link, Consolidated Communications, enTouch and Phonoscope.
