Stony Point Tigers vs. Harker Heights Knights LIVE This Thursday on ROOT SPORTS

ROOT SPORTS  continues their 2015 schedule of High School Football Games of the Week presented by Memorial Hermann IRONMAN Sports Medicine Institute live this Thursday from Leo Buckley Stadium as the Harker Heights Knights host the Stony Point Tigers.

Last year when these two teams met, a late fumble was the deciding factor in the Knights’ one-point win over the Tigers. The Tigers look to avenge that loss this Thursday backed by 10 returning starters including two of the top linebackers in the district, Shon Shepard and Dante Smith, last year’s District Newcomer of the Year, as well as skilled running back Shapiro King, who rushed for 84 yards and two touchdowns in the Tigers 30-6 season opener win against Connally.

The Knights, who lost in just the final minute of their Week 1 game against Waco, strive to get back on track with the help of a strong offensive line anchored by Khalil Corbett-Canada who will look to clear the way for a talented group of younger players including junior Madu Enili, who rushed 27 times for 122 yards in his first start at running back last week.

The action kicks-off live and in High-Definition this Thursday at 7:00PM on ROOT SPORTSROOT SPORTS is available on AT&T U-verse, DIRECTV, Comcast Xfinity, Coastal Link, Consolidated Communications and Phonoscope.
